Conference of Birds (COB) I

COB I is primarily a theatre production and was conceived and directed by Andrea Scott. Andrea is the Artistic Director of Floating World Productions and works with members of the community - a group called the Elders.

The theme of the piece was the endangered birds of Ireland. The Elders performed as different endangered bird species who came together for a conference about the state of their environment.

The performance took place in the National Botanics Gardens - as a preliminary version. Along with the Elders the National Concert Hall Youth Choir performed as part of the production.

Gerard worked as a visual artist for the piece which saw him being involved in design of the space and drawing and displaying the endangered birds of Ireland.

The project funded by the Arts Council Ireland and supported by the OPW.
